Forums
The Forums section allows you to start new discussions or get involved in other discussions created by members of the W.F.N.. It's a good way to communicate with fellow members about your thoughts on the Fishing community, training tips, gear suggestions or whatever is on your mind.
When you visit the Forums page you can start a new discussion by clicking on the "Start a New Discussion" link. Give your Discussion a title, select an appropriate category, tag it (tags are short descriptions) and then write your post. You can even add files by attaching them to the post.
· If you are HTML savvy you can embed images or links to your posts as well.
· If you want to join an ongoing discussion just click on the topic and post your reply.
Forums are a great way to get to know other members on the network. To learn more about a member click on their name to view their personal profile page.
Groups
Groups allow you to carve out your own home on the W.F.N.. Part of a Fishing club? Looking to start a local Pikeing network/Fishing location Groups/Fly Fishing Scotland? Or just want to have a site for you and your friends? Groups allows you to create your own site within the W.F.N. Network. It's a great way to communicate with everyone in one easy spot. You can even set up your group to be public or private.
Click on the "Create a New Group" button or search through the current list of groups to get started.
· Give your Group a name, description and set your privacy settings. When you are done a Group Web Address is created, which allows you direct access to your groups site from the web. Just type the link in your browser and go.
Once your group is set up you can keep everyone up to date by sending out group only messages, invite new members to join and start discussions that are exclusive to your group.
What is an RSS Feed you ask? Well an RSS document, which is called a "feed", "web feed", or "channel", contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with their favorite web sites, like the W.F.N., in an automated manner that's easier than checking them manually. So click on the RSS icon in the discussions or blogs sections to subscribe to those feeds and stay up to date with the latest rumblings on the W.F.N..
